Bulletin 2011 No14

In this bulletin there are several articles which highlight why it is vital that we send a clear message to the employer that their plans to reduce our standard of living, our basic conditions and to rob our pensions to pay for a crisis we did not create are unacceptable.

In particular members will see the stark cuts planned for our pension entitlements the savings of which will go to the treasury to help pay for the deficit and ignoring the fact that our pensions are fully sustainable and reducing in cost.

On top of this the Cabinet Secretary, Francis Maude, has stated that he wants to cut our sick pay entitlements and abolish our privilege day leave.

This bulletin is being sent out when we are still balloting for action over the government’s attacks on our jobs, pay, conditions and pensions. There is still time to vote in this ballot if you vote before Saturday this week in order for your ballot paper to reach the scrutineers by 12pm on the 15th June. If you have not received your ballot paper please let us know urgently! Use your Vote and Vote YES YES!
